We popped along to check out TRY’s new training room here at Imber. A big thanks to Stadium Support for their hard work in transforming this from a changing room to this beautiful base for Train Right for You. Roshan-Ara’s work includes rehab and injury prevention, from assessment right through to a tailored training plan for improved running and movement so you can be the athlete you never thought you could. We are very happy to have Roshan-Ara here with us, and the work she does is fantastic, whether it be improving on a runner’s style to increase speed or getting novices on the right track.
It was a great week for our Pool Manager Phill last week, when he and three others were chosen to recreate the famous Beatles album cover, Abbey Road, to mark its 50th anniversary. As an avid fan and convincing Beatle and Lennon tribute, Phill is happy to say the least, and we’re proud to call him ours. You can see full articles about the event here-
As well as at other news outlets.

You might have heard we’ve joined up with the folks at Red Church Brewery, and have been looking forward to selling their beers. We couldn’t be happier, and would like to congratulate them for cleaning up at the World Beer Awards recently. One win would be great, but they not only won Silver for their Old Ford Export Stout, and not just Gold for their Bethnal Pale Ale in their respective categories, but were also awarded Overall Winner in the UK Lager category! We’re proud to say, we stock their products and hope you look forward to sampling them!
We’re so excited for the Happy Days festival that we’re going to start the party a little early. With a Pimms and Prosecco bar out in our garden. The greatest hits of Happy Days will be playing to get you in the mood, not that it takes much persuasion. We’ll also be selling regular drinks in the bar. It promises to be a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend.

Our long-term friends have earned a great honour this week by gaining a three page spread in the European Cleaning Journal! We’re proud to promote them, and even prouder of their success. Well done all!
Following last week’s cold snap which prevented the courts being marked out, I am assured by the contractors that the hard courts will be open for us on Saturday 9th February – book the courts in the usual fashion through the office (0208 398 1267 x4) – as and when anything changes i will keep you updated via this blog.
Thank you to all for your patience – but for those that have already viewed the work undertaken so far you will agree that there will be a fantastic tennis facility at Imber once all the work is completed.
For those intrepid tennis players planning to christen the new courts tomorrow, the weather has beaten us I am afraid.
Due to the drop in temperature a decision was made earlier not mark out the courts until the temperature rises a bit.
I will keep you updated, but definitely no courts opening tomorrow
After our post yesterday reporting Benny’s disappearance, we have an exciting development…
It would appear that Benny, among a few others, actually reads the Chairman’s Blog! Whether Benny was stuck in a shed, or simply fancied a detox vacation away from the rich and delicious foods of Imber, we’ll never know, but he returned today, skinnier that before but unscathed from his escapades! #TheCatReturns #Bengal #ImberCourt #Imber
You may remember our post about Benny, the extremely good-looking Bengal that roams far and wide across Imber’s 90 acres, but always makes it back for dinner… Well, it seems that last week Benny decided to go on a little adventure, and hasn’t been seen for several days, causing much worry and concern for his safety. Sheds, outhouses, storage huts and barns have all been checked, we’re hoping it’s just a matter of time and a hungry tummy that will bring him home! #CatOnTheLose #ImberCourt #MountedBranch
Weather looks good for Sunday , Phil has promised to keep the swimming pool open all sunday afternoon for family swimming, Yogi is firing up the Hog Roast and the fireworks are set….
Come down this Sunday afternoon , bring the kids for a swim , have a drink whilst watching The Arsenal beat Man City and Chelsea losing, then enjoy the Hog Roast before wandering over to 40 acres for Surrey’s biggest firework display. Sounds like a good plan to me.
